RUN TO THE CHAMPIONSHIP SET TO CELEBRATE 2016 U.S. SENIOR OPEN

Run To The Championship

COLUMBUS, Ohio — M3S Sports today announced the Run To The Championship, a 4-Mile Run / Walk road race set for Tuesday, August 9th to celebrate the U.S. Senior Open Championship at Scioto Country Club.

The Run To The Championship will begin at 7 p.m. at Kingsdale Shopping Center and follow a course through Upper Arlington before ending at Scioto Country Club, site of the 2016 U.S. Senior Open. The run / walk will benefit The Ohio State Comprehensive Cancer Center — James Cancer Hospital and Solove Research Institute.

Registration for the Run To The Championship is NOW OPEN at www.runtothechampionship.com. Race fees are $40 through June 30; $45 from July 1 through July 30; and $50 from August 1 until Sold Out. The Run To The Championship is limited to the first 2,000 participants.

Race participants receive an official Run To The Championship-themed Technical Race Shirt, an official Run To The Championship-themed Finisher’s Medal, one complimentary practice round ticket ($35 value) to the 2016 U.S. Senior Open (good for any one day, Monday through Wednesday) and a complimentary adult beverage at the official post-race party & concert at The 1916 Club immediately following the race.

The 1916 Club is a climate-controlled pavilion located between Hole Nos. 13, 14 and 15. The premium venue for the U.S. Senior Open will feature upgraded food and beverage options for purchase within a sports bar environment, all located in the heart of the back nine at Scioto Country Club.

The U.S. Senior Open will collaborate with M3S Sports to operate and produce the Run To The Championship. “We are honored to partner with Scioto Country Club to celebrate golf and fitness,” said David Babner, Race Director for M3S Sports. “The U.S. Senior Open will be an historic event for our city and we look forward to jump-starting the celebration at the Run To The Championship on August 9.”

The 2016 U.S. Senior Open is scheduled for August 8-14 at Scioto Country Club in Upper Arlington, Ohio. Tickets for the U.S. Senior open can be purchased online by visiting the Championship website at www.2016ussenioropen.com. A weekly grounds ticket, which is valid Monday through Sunday, is available for $135. A ticket for the 1916 Club, also valid Monday through Sunday and features access to an air-conditioned pavilion with a sports bar atmosphere, is $235.

The Championship provides free admission to all children 17 and under who are accompanied by a ticketed adult. The front row of every grandstand is reserved for children.
